2022年冬奥会核心重点工程——国家雪车雪橇中心项目承担方——上海宝冶方面介绍，赛道U型槽是赛道主体结构的重要组成部分，赛道坐落于U型槽之上。项目属山地施工，地质条件差，施工难度高。

据悉，不同部位施工困难不同：比如，出发区U型槽施工与X01北侧不稳定斜坡交叉施工，原始土方量大，又处于场地最高点，材料及施工组织异常困难；360°回旋弯赛道U型槽，场地高低起伏，最高点距地面最高达15米，下方共有28根斜圆柱支撑，斜柱加固难度大，模板支撑困难；刚刚完成的最后一段处于隧道部位的赛道U型槽，在隧道上方通过，受下部隧道主体结构施工制约。

据悉，历时11个月赛道U型槽施工顺利完成，为赛道后续建设的按时完工创造了有利条件，为确保2020年3月初进行赛道滑行测试奠定了良好基础。
